Oh Hai 2010. Good Riddance 2009.
Seeing as I will be sans-internet access from tomorrow until January 2 (come say hi to me if you are Falls-bound, by the by,) I figured I would jot down my resolutions for the coming year. My assumption is that if they are documented publicly I may actually force myself to achieve them.
My New Years Resolutions:
- Lose excess weight and maintain healthier lifestyle
- Pay off all nasty bitch...

Ice Ice Christmas
My Lovebug gave us a wonderful gift the other day..
I know it just looks like any other annoying singing Christmas toy, but this bitch sings Vanilla Ice’s ‘Ice Ice Baby’.
Apparently, it was the only working Reindeer, so there was no way to see if they all did, or if ours is special. The Santa’s sang traditional Christmas carols, so you can appreciate why I would be...

comments/staying cool
So I have followed the lead of Dante and added a comment feature to my Tumblr with DISQUS.
In other news, I have seen the forecast and I know it’s going to get toasty over the new years period. I’ll be spending umpteen hours a day at a festival site car check in and desire an air conditioner. Seeing as I can’t have that, I ask you fellow Tumblrers, how can I keep cool?

She told me my father was David Bowie.
In fact, she still does. My mother is a gem when it comes to that sort of thing. She would often try and convince me that was the case, but seeing as I was a couple of weeks old when Bowie toured Serious Moonlight to Australia, the math doesn’t quite add up[1].
About a month ago, I sent her an sms insisting we go to New York to see The Stooges do Raw Power as part of ATPs Don’t Look...

But... she could be a farmer in those clothes!
Brittany Murphy joins the long list of celebrity deaths for 2009. I certainly wasn’t a massive fan of her, but thought she was pretty kick arse in Girl Interrupted, 8 Mile and of course one of the films that shaped my early teen years, Clueless.
It’s sad, definitely, but it’s sadder that she was ONLY 32, and that her death will prompt a wave of coke fiend-crack whore-blonde...
It's like 'Follow Friday' except that it is...
Seriously though, if you aren’t following the blogged tales of Dan Kelly while he writes and records his third album, then you are missing out on a great read.
“Anyway back to the Beer and Breakfast. It is my manager Bernadette’s recommendation and the Tahini and Tomato toast with Lemon oil is actually sensational. I have two coz its only seven dollars and i remember how hungry i was...

This has been a very distracting read this afternoon, when I should be vacuuming.
Highlights include Bowie, Hunter S and the slave letter from 1857. Incredible.

Meredith Roundup
It is post-Meredith Thursday and I am still very much in recovery mode. So this is being dot-pointed.
The Good:
Getting a lovely camping spot in Africa (just off the road) with an amazing view.
Having my lovebug with me and watching her get to experience it all for the first time (by the by bug - if you enjoyed MMF, you’ll LOVE Golden Plains, less people, less hipsters, slightly older...

We go together like...
Two years on and I still get excited when he calls. Two years on and I still want to jump him whenever I see him pull up on his motorbike. Two years on and we still have so many new and exciting things to experience together. Two years on and I am more in love than ever before.
Happy anniversary, my Mowfish. x

Seriously, if the moves to date from our idiotic government regarding games classifications have pissed you off, now is your chance to have a say in the matter. Follow the link, submit your opinion (spell check it, don’t swear, don’t write like a fifteen year old) and send it in before February 2010.

Work like a bitch for very little money! →
I know it’s a community organisation, but every time I see a paid position with Peebs, I am flabbergasted at the advertised pay rate for SENIOR roles. Hell, this is essentially three positions rolled into one, and the most you can expect to gross in a year is 40k? Dude :/
As a nintendo child, this speaks to me :D

Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn’t work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in the world with a Nintendo did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ’s. We just figured it out.
Today’s kids are soft.

I think it is really important, if you were considering buying me a Christmas gift this year, that you think about purchasing me a copy of the critically acclaimed ‘100 Facts About Pandas’, described by Noel Fielding as a ‘breakthrough in panda literature’.

Christmas Time! Christmas Time! Christmas Time!
I go through phases with Christmas. Some times I really enjoy the celebration of togetherness and family and some times I hide in my room with a bottle of vodka.
This year however, will be the first year I get to celebrate this time of year with my chosen family - my beautiful partner who I am learning to appreciate more and more every day, my idiotic but endlessly lovable and affectionate cats,...
